Facing The Budget Deficit

I'm not saying this is a good idea or not, because it would take research and I'm not equipped with the time. I'm only re-posting it because it might be worth looking into. (I'm sure the law director won't like the idea - but nobody likes the idea of making budget cuts.)

While we're at it, take this suggestion for other staff positions: Look at what other city's are doing to trim their budgets and see if Sandusky can do the same.

The city's main interest is to spend down the balance to make it look good when they bargain with the union. Why else would they spend $50,000 on G&C cleanup of which they don't have and will never get back. I would like to know why the city waited until the eleventh hour to make cuts when they should have been making the cuts years ago. Stahl has been red flagging the budget every since he came on board with the commission. The financial wizard voted yes to give away $50,000 when he knew we couldn't afford it. I have to wonder if some of the commissioners are destroying what is left of the budget.
