411: You are being controlled. Pretty soon they will shut you down also. It is just a matter of time.

Nazi references usually signal the end of meaningful discussion:

"Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies, sometimes also known as Godwin's Law, is a theory put forward by Mike Godwin in 1990. Godwin noticed that long-threaded discussions on the Internet tended to turn into mud slinging competitions by the end. The longer a thread got, the more likely it was that a Nazi comparison would be dragged into the discussion.

Godwin's Rule states that: “As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one.”

There are several implications to Godwin's Rule. Many online discussions involve intense personal beliefs and values, which sometimes clash quite dramatically. As the discussion continues, it tends to become less rational, especially after most of the valid arguments from both sides have been presented. On a hot button issue with no “right” answer, opponents may start to exchange insults because they become angry and frustrated."

I think you're making a good call 411!

It is to bad you are being controlled by Stahl, just like any other blog site. You receive a crying person telling you to stop free speech and you cowtow to them just like the SR. Too bad you do not have a backbone and let the people post their free speech. Sounds like our democracy is sliding down that parlous slope. Pretty soon we will not be able to even speak, unless it is what the other person wants to hear. Oh well another person bowing down the GOBs, just like everyone else in this town. They want to control speech and you people let them. Don't worry this is the last post I will put on this site, you can relax and tell your buddy Stahl he will not get any negative comments about him on your site. Communism has reared its ugly head once again.

Citizen Kane, I disagree with Craig Stahl on a number of things. For example: I disagree with how he is refusing to release insurance information pertaining to the Nuesse case and I think his style of politics is lowering morale in the city of Sandusky. His continued support for Matt Kline is damaging the city even more. Craig Stahl's approach on these issues are backward and his blind support and faith in Matt Kline are foolish and surprising. I believe in the end, Stahl will lose reelection in November if he continues on the current course along with causing further damage to the city if something isn't done about the direction the city is headed.

HOWEVER.

I'm not going to compare him to a German dictator who oversaw the extermination of 6 million human beings.

Ok, but can we please have permission to starting calling him Stahlin?

411 You just don't seem to understand the reference here. This is a person who wants to control what you think, what you say, and what you do, the very same thing A.H did then. Tell me what is the difference? He is destroying this city just like A.H. did to many cities. What is the difference? He controls the commission just like A.H. did with his believers. What is the difference? He threatens people who put in print anything that is not what he believes. What is the difference? He holds constant excutive sessions out of sight of the public, which everyone know is not about personnel. What is the difference? He does things under the table and secretive. What is the difference? Unlike you I have been a resident of this city for more years then you have been born and I know a dictator when I see one. This is going to lead us downa a path of government control that we will not get out of. Open your eyes and mind and see what is happening to this city with this dictator in control.

411 -

Tough call, but Ithink you are right. Hitler was pure evil - Stahl is just misguided and on a little ego trip. I don't think he necessarily wants to bring harm to our city, but he doesn't seem to have a clue as to what open, honest communication is and what transparency means.

Citizen - I hope you don't leave this forum. It's good to have differing viewpoints expressed. On this issue, though, I have to disagree with you. Perhaps there is some other comparison more appropriate. He definitely is leading us down an undesirable path, but we can at the very least vote him out of office in Nov. The German people, and especially the Jews, would have liked that option.

Anon #2 - expressed well.

Mr. Sandusky - now that's funny. :-)
